What it is
Envirobelt 40 is disused woven conveyor belt from the mines of Australia. The belt comprises of woven fabric dipped in liquid PVC with added covers which are bonded by vulcanizing. It forms a very solid, hardy, flame resistant, anti static belt with high tensile strength. The used belt still maintains inherited qualities from the parent belt. Envirobelt has 40mm holes punched along its entire length at 100mm centres. Thickness is between 7mm and 18mm and width 1000mm to 1800mm.
Being a reused material, it also possesses low embodied energy, because it has not been reprocessed to any degree after initial manufacture.
What it does
Envirobelt provides a permanent cost effective track or pathway. With a semi skid resistant surface it is strong, durable and allows water to pass through it. Envirobelt is very adaptable and contours to the landscape. This facilitates easy installation and makes it ideal for erosion control. In time native grasses and vegetation will grow through the belt which virtually disappears.
Envirobelt is a reused industrial product which helps minimise environmental impact in land fill sites.
Where is Envirobelt used
This product has low initial cost which makes it a great choice for beach areas subject to heavy traffic, both pedestrian and vehicular. As well, it can be removed for reuse elsewhere. With low combustibility it is ideal on tracks and roadways in National Parks that are subject to grass fires.
Other applications
Erosion stabilization, sand dune access, temporary road for wet and boggy areas, horse stable floors, slippery concrete floors, boat launch ramps, horse walker floors, wash down areas, truck floors, scour pads.
