Reusables Division

This Division commenced operations in 1992.

Its main purpose is the production of a range of products from disused conveyor belts from Australia’s mines.

Typical products made from disused conveyor belts are –

  • Splitbelt, which is ply belt split longitudinally into thinner sheets
  • Rubber Rails, which are precision cut strips of belt for horse yards
  • Holeybelt, which is Splitbelt with holes punched in it
  • Blasting mats used over blasts in residential areas

All the products of this Division are sold direct to end users across the length and breadth of Australia.

Most are used in agricultural industries, conservation, and the horse industry.

This processing is achieved using very little extra energy and so the products contain very little embodied energy. This is why it is known as “Reusables” and not “Recycling”. (Recycling processes often use a lot of energy in the transformation of waste products).
